Move this wiki to Miraheze.
I propose to move this wiki to Miraheze because Wikia no longer resembles Wikipedia. I sent a request here: [1]
Activity feed
I am really annoyed by the bugs in the activity feed. It shows some edits which were made weeks ago, but none of the edits of the last two days. So I still have to navigate through Special pages -> Recent changes and look it up there. Does anyone else also experience this?
Community Portal Page
OK, so today I made some changes to the Community Portal page, namely I added some text (in both Quenya and English) and a number of buttons to lead users to community related pages. It's not much but I hope it's useful to you folks. So what do you think?
Badges Nr. 2
I must admit that I was totally wrong about the badges. They really seem to motivate to contribute to the Wiki. I speak out of my experience, so I would like to apologize for my first harsh reaction.
Also, I didn't left unnoticed that after the redesign, some of the elements (for instance, the edit pages altogether) do not fit the general design any more. In the next days, I will make the necessary tweaks in the .css to keep the Wiki design clean.
New edit page
Wikia has just updated the edit page. What are your opinions, folks?
Mine is that this is the first positive change in the design since time immemorial.
Badges
Who elses finds these new badges totally silly?
I mean, I am perfectly aware that Wikia, as a site dedicated mostly to hobbies, is promoting a rather lightweight approach to editing. But still, I feel like in a computer game with these.
UPD: And what annoys me even more is that they're littering up the activity feed. UPD2: Oh, I just noticed that it wasn't Wikia but Last Waterbender who turned them on. I hope you don't feel insulted by this, dude.
New background
As you may have noticed, I've installed some leaves on the background. Now I would like to know your opinion: Do they fit in the general design of our Wiki? Are they too bright? Are they too many of them? And, in general, do they distract you while you're reading the Wiki?

Wiki is one year old!
I just realised today is exactly one year since the first time I landed upon this wiki. Neo-Quenya Wiki is one year old! A lot has gone on in this time and I'm sure all who have contributed to this wiki have learned more than before they came. Many achievements have been made bringing the wiki to this stage, and I'm sure our continuing efforts will make our wiki an even greater place :) Congrats to everyone who has helped out in the development of this wikia!
Happy New Year
So, while the new day and new year is slowly pacing over Arda, I would like to wish everyone out there a happy New Year. 2010 has been clearly very important for our Wiki :) and I wish for the next year that our contrbution to Neo-Quenya will continue and rise. I also wish all the best for all authors and readers for the next year. See you 'round!
Change to the new look
For several weeks, Wikia has anounced that it would move to the new design. The old Monaco will soon no longer be available — whether this is good or bad, lies in he eyes of the beholder. Now we have finished the transition of the Neo-Quenya Wiki style to the new look accordingly. There will surely be several minor updates and fixes, and any proposals and complaints will be handled, of course, but we can now return to the main work :) Iron gollum 20:39, October 27, 2010 (UTC)
